Jonathan has more than 10 years teaching experience, covering the full primary age range and other education sectors. He has been teaching in Newham for 6 years.
He has a history of supporting colleagues, NQTs and trainees within classroom practice and developing leadership. He believes that sharing best practice is the key to school improvement and he has delivered CPD to experienced teachers and NQTs, as well as leading training on a successful SCITT program.
His proven track record of leading school-to-school support within Newham includes collaborations focusing on curriculum development in science and planning for progression in Year One.
Successful SLE deployments in the London boroughs of Hackney and Southwark also feature in my career history. These consisted of working alongside senior leaders and class teachers to raise expectations and standards through: delivering model lessons; team teaching; INSET; systematic and sensitive coaching; data analysis; leading pupil progress meetings; and, the subject leadership of mathematics.
