Julie studied for her degree in Early Childhood Studies at the University of East London. She has taught at Hallsville Primary School for 8 years. Julie has co-ordinated RE for the past 5 years. Her successes have included the school being awarded a Silver Quality Mark for RE. She has also lead Hallsville to win the ‘Best Overall School’ last year, and the ‘Best Early Years’ in the borough for the past 3 years, in the borough Place of Worship Competition. She is currently part of the Newham Agreed Syllabus Review Group and has written a unit of work for the Early Years.
In her role as an experienced teacher in Reception, Julie has played a crucial part in developing the environment that has been used as an example of an outstanding play based setting for the Local Authority, Beyond Monitoring, and the Outstanding Teacher’s Programme. She has successfully mentored students. Julie is very creative and has a very good understanding of how to engage children.
