Professional & Personal details:

Maeve is an experienced classroom practitioner who has held a range of different roles of leadership and management. She is a highly qualified teacher with an MA in Advanced Educational Practice, specifically studying how Action Research and specific skills teaching can improve children’s outcomes.

As a middle leader working throughout Key Stage Two, Maeve’s specific areas of expertise include Reading, Writing and Grammar, with a focus on the end of Key Stage Two test results. During the time she has lead Literacy her school has achieved outstanding SATs results as a direct result of effective CPD to develop excellence in Literacy teaching across the board.

Working as a qualified SATs marker means that her subject knowledge around literacy is extensive and can be specifically targeted towards areas of weakness. She has a range of experience in training other adults in both the content and application of the stringent subject-knowledge of the current curriculum.

Maeve is able to mentor and develop a great range of individuals and teams; she has supported teaching students, NQTS, experienced teachers, teaching assistants and year group teams. Her clear, structured approach to improvement in Literacy has facilitated specific and measurable attainment in teaching, learning and results.
