As a Mathematics Coordinator, Samira developed the current calculations policy which is being used an exemplar across the LA. For her SLE role, she has delivered calculations training to teachers and TAs across the borough. Team teaching across the school is pertinent to Samira’s role; through this, she is able to model the school’s priorities. Having recently been trained to deliver the Maths No Problem scheme, Samira is looking forward to managing this next year and modelling teaching for mastery.

For the last four years, as a senior teacher, Samira has been working with the leadership team as a Phase Leader and now an Assistant Head. Her role involves managing the teaching and learning in KS2, coordinating the One-to-One tuition programme, mentoring trainees and managing subject leaders in the school. Samira is trained to deliver the ITP and OTP programmes; she has delivered several cycles of this.
